Feasibility and Option Assessment Studies
AR & Associates has been responsible for undertaking feasibility and option assessment studies for many public and private sector projects. We start by identifying key project drivers and objectives and then identify the various opportunities and constraints applicable to the project before formulating potential options to reach the desired outcomes. Our expertise includes detailed technical assessment and cost-benefit analysis of options, as well as multi-criteria analysis (MCA), where other drivers are evaluated along with the technical and cost elements to reach informed decisions on the most desirable option.

When working with private sector clients, our track record and expertise in council-related consent processing work means that we have a thorough understanding of council expectations. Accuracy and Safety in Design
We are involved in every phase of a project, from inception and feasibility to construction and certification. We use state of the art engineering design software including 3D terrain modelling, hydraulic simulation and other packages which allow us to provide a high level of accuracy in our designs. This is particularly important when producing detailed design and construction documentation. We acquaint ourselves intimately with the local site conditions and ensure that constructability and safety in design form an integral part of our design processes. These processes, along with our track record and experience, ensure that we produce designs that can be constructed safely and effectively, minimising the risk of redesign and the associated costs and delays.
Tendering and Contract Documentation, Administration and Supervision
As part of our core services, we offer the production of tender and construction documentation, assistance during tendering process, construction supervision and administration of the physical construction contract on behalf of our clients. This includes acting as Engineer to the Contract, review of progress claims, site queries, variation and instruction orders and financial monitoring and control of the project. We provide clients with monthly financial status reports and forecasts for the construction contract works, allowing the financial tracking and planning of projects in real time. Upon completion of the works, we manage the as-built and certification processes, including application and acquisition of 224c certificates (in the case of subdivision work).
